Older entrepreneurs achieve slightly more success than younger ones in their ventures. Thus, entrepreneurs are not necessarily bright young men with a grand vision – older people can and do realise new ventures. What causes them to be more successful? Among other factors they:
- have mature business ideas
- have a more realistic self-appraisal
- have greater access to finances
- value freedom more
- are more emotionally stable
- and more intellectually developed
There may be some factors which apply to all employees, but what are the conditions olderpreneurs should meet if you want to outperform others? There is a broad consensus about several factors, including:
- Knowing your purpose
- Being an expert in your target field
- Having a record of proficiency
- Possessing intrinsic motivation
