Recap of the successful SAFE Multiplier Event on 20 June 2024

We are delighted to share the success of the SAFE (Seniors’ Anti-Fake Education) Multiplier Event, which took place on the 20th of June 2024. This event marked a significant milestone in our project, bringing together senior learners, adult educators and stakeholders to celebrate and reflect on our collective achievements.

Event Highlights:

  • Presentation of project outcomes: The event began with an inspiring presentation of the results and achievements of the SAFE project. Attendees were impressed by the impactful results of our initiatives, including the engagement of over 60 seniors and educators in our workshops.
  • Age-Sensitive Approaches: A key focus of the event was the discussion of age-appropriate teaching methods. Experts and participants hared insights and best practices, highlighting the importance of tailoring educational approaches to the specific needs of older learners.
  • Interactive practical activities: Participants engaged in hands-on activities, including critical thinking exercises. These sessions provided practical experience and demonstrated the effectiveness of our training methods.
  • Hands-on with the SAFE Hub: Participants had the opportunity to explore the SAFE Hub, our online learning platform. The interactive demonstrations showcased the Hub’s valuable resources, including training videos, a multimedia production toolbox and a space to share personal experiences of fake news.Participants expressed a strong desire to build on the success of the SAFE project, and our project partners are eager to continue this valuable collaboration.The SAFE Multiplier Event not only celebrated our achievements, but also set the stage for future initiatives. We are committed to continuing our mission to increase media literacy and critical thinking skills among seniors to ensure they can navigate the digital world with confidence.Thank you to all our partners, participants and supporters for making this event a remarkable success!
