The second partner meeting in Athens in December gave SAFE partners the opportunity to work concretely on the further development of the Train-The-Trainer programme aimed to equip adult educators with the necessary skills to promote media literacy among older learners and empower them to deal with fake news.
The training programme consists of four modules – these are:
- Origins of fake news, and methods and tools to check and detect them
- Seniors’ behaviour in Social Media and messenger apps
- Age-sensitive didactics and methodologies
- Video production with learners on their own fake news experience
The Training programme will be piloted by each partner in their context and will also be available on the SAFE Hub.
