Since the launch of BADGES, a lot has happened: the partnership has intensively studied existing approaches to the validation of competences in the cultural heritage sector. They have found some promising approaches, but also several possibilities for improvement. The full report with the results is in progress and will be published soon.
Furthermore, the partnership will meet in mid-May in Cagliari, where “Monumenti Aperti” will take place again this year. At “Monumenti Aperti” many buildings, monuments and museums open their doors for free on one weekend in May – many of them are normally closed to the public. The special thing about it is that volunteers – from school children to pensioners – prepare small guided tours of the respective buildings in advance and guide interested visitors through the sites on this weekend. The whole city of Cagliari will be on its feet – we are already very excited!
